And yeah, I really shouldn’t be here — I should be doing homework, but what the hell. My dad forced me to come along.

And… I’m hungry. I want ice cream.

And I do hope we buy a printer REALLY soon. I’m gonna be needing it. As in there’s a 10-15-page research paper for English, and a Filipino project to work on. Great. Plus, there’s the periodicals. Just… terrific.

Crapcrapcrap.

Okay, so I’ve seen the plays of the other groups already, and I must say, they were actually good. No, I’m serious. Especially India — now that is what I call emotional and profound. It was simple, really, but remarkably powerful — I think the simplicity really helped.

Japan’s was good too, really, but it lacked that “oomph” I was looking for. I dunno; the fight scene wasn’t really good, or maybe it’s because Chuck let go of his sword. Haha. But it was excellent, nonetheless, and the technicals were… let’s just say I got a few pointers for our play.

Our group’s performing last — on Tuesday — and I’m really worried. Worried because we actually finished the script quite early, and we’re the last group to present. Not just in our class, mind you, but in the ENTIRE batch. It’s a good thing we already plotted our transitions, and we’ve had a few run-throughs, but I feel it isn’t enough.

So, some pointers for groupmates:

• Make sure that props are brought in/taken out as quickly and as silently as possible.
• Project voices. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
• DO NOT BE SHY. Give it your best shot. Hand gestures are essential too, of course.
• If you forget your lines, adlib. Don’t repeat from the start –it’s better if the audience doesn’t notice.
• Don’t turn your back to the audience. Side view is fine.
• Finish that flash backdrop! (Miggy…)
• Don’t speak like you’re reading from a book. Put emotions into it. (refer to pointer 3)
• Practice on Sunday, from 2 pm onwards. We meet at the front lobby. Bring all props.
• HAVE FUN!!!

I know we can do it. I know WE WILL.

Oh, and you’re invited to our play as well. December 4, Tuesday, from 2:30 to 3:20 pm, 3rd floor auditorium.

I feel so much better now. Well, academics-wise, not really. But in other aspects, yes, everything’s gone better now.

And I wish it’ll be like this forever. Minus the homework, of course.

*grins from ear to ear*

Oh, and I wish we don’t have classes tomorrow… but all the same, I wanna watch the SS plays! It’ll be hard on our class when the plays are interrupted AGAIN. Gah. If only we could have ONLY that tomorrow… And screw Algebra.
